No garage enhancement project is complete without considering the condition of the floor. Many people overlook this important item simply because they have never seen a garage floor properly done. The difference between what they’re accustomed to and what can be achieved is surprising.

Instead of oil stains, cracks and dust, you can enjoy a seamless floor that looks great, won’t peel and lasts for years. Here’s how the product is applied:

• Preparation is key – we diamond grind the surface to remove any existing paint layers and the slick top layer of concrete.
• An epoxy primer coat is applied.
• Any defects (cracks, holes, and textured areas) are repaired and an epoxy layer in the background color of the floor is applied followed by the vinyl chips.
• One or two coats of high quality polyurethane are applied as a top coat along with any texture additives.

This basic commercial specification has been around in one form or another since the 50’s and some of those floors still look great. The product is designed to withstand heavy vehicle traffic and we are able to repair some badly damaged floors too. The kind of problems you may have experienced with cheaper floor coatings, hot tire peel for example, are completely eliminated.

There are many new types of seamless flooring systems on the market but none have as much time in place as epoxy/urethane. We’ve had 5 years of good experience with our system and recommend it above others.
